Information we collect

We only collect what we need to reply to you and to improve the site.

• Information you give us: when you use our contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address, company name (if you add it), the service and budget you choose, and your message.
• Usage information: with your consent, Google Analytics collects details such as the pages you visit, how long you stay, your approximate location (country or city), your device and browser type, and how you found the site.
• Technical information: our hosting provider processes basic data such as your IP address to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

We do not ask for, and ask you not to send, sensitive information such as health or financial details through the contact form.

How we use your information

• To reply to your enquiry, arrange a discovery call and prepare a quote.
• To deliver and manage projects if you become a client.
• To understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
• To keep the site secure and prevent spam and abuse.
• To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.

Legal bases (UK and EU visitors)

If you are in the UK, the European Economic Area or Switzerland, we rely on these legal bases: your consent (for analytics cookies), our legitimate interests (to reply to enquiries, run and secure the site), steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (preparing a quote), and legal obligations (keeping business records).

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. Google Analytics sets cookies (such as _ga) that help count visits and see which pages are popular.

Analytics cookies are only set if you accept them in our cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. If you decline, the site works exactly the same.

We do not use advertising cookies.

Who we share information with

We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the business, and only as much as they need:

• Cloudflare, which hosts the site and protects it from attacks.
• Resend, which delivers contact form messages to our inbox.
• Google, which provides Google Analytics (only with your consent).
• Our email, accounting and project tools, when you become a client.

We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect our rights, or as part of a sale or reorganisation of the business.

International transfers

We are based in the United States and some of our providers process data in other countries. When information about UK or EU visitors is transferred, we rely on our providers' safeguards, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK Addendum, or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where they are certified.

How long we keep information

• Enquiries that do not become projects: up to 2 years, then deleted.
• Client and project records: for as long as we work together, then up to 7 years for tax and accounting purposes.
• Analytics data: kept by Google Analytics for 14 months.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, receive a copy of it, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent at any time.

To use any of these rights, email us at hello@evmonic.com. We will reply within 30 days. We will not treat you differently for using your rights.

If you are in the UK or EU and are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to your local data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office). We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.

Security

We use trusted providers, encrypted connections (HTTPS) and limited access to keep your information safe. No method of sending or storing data is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect it.

Children

Our site and services are for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you think a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the business and the law change. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed. Significant changes will be highlighted on the site.
